What's a Google Business Profile?
The box with your hours, reviews, and map pin that shows up when someone Googles you. It's free, and it's the most important thing you own online.
What it is
When someone searches for a business like yours, Google shows a map with a few listings under it. Those are Google Business Profiles. Yours has your phone number, hours, photos, reviews, and a button to get directions. It's free from Google.
How it helps your business
For a local business, this listing often gets more customers than the website does. People call straight from it. Your website is where they go to check you out after the listing gets their attention.
The numbers
- 80% of people search for a local business every week.Source: SOCi, via BloggersPassion
- 88% trust online reviews as much as a recommendation from a friend.Source: BrightLocal consumer survey, via Searchlab
- 54% of people visit a business's website after reading good reviews. No website means they leave right there.Source: BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey 2026
What to realistically expect
A filled-out listing with photos, correct hours, and a few reviews is the difference between showing up and not. Google makes the owner verify it, usually with a short video showing your sign and proof you run the place. That part is you, and I walk you through it. Reviews come from asking happy customers, which is what the review card is for.
Free from Google. My setup fee is $50: I create or clean it up, fill out every field, add your photos and services, and link it to your site. Included in Done for you and up. Or claim it yourself in about 30 minutes with my instructions.
